Recycler training course for technical staff

This 2 day course has been specifically designed for is for vehicle recyclers to understand the fundamentals of HV vehicles, the various systems onboard and assessment of the vehicle upon arrival at the facility.

 

The course will cover all elements needed for safe and efficient working on Electric and hybrid vehicles. This course is divided into theoretical and practical elements developing the technical skills of existing and new employees to understand the Electric and Hybrid motor vehicle and is intended to allow them to work safely around electric vehicles of all types.

 

At the end of this course participants will receive an IAC certification after passing a written test and practical demonstration of competence during the course time with a weighting of 50% given to each element. The participants must score 80% average over the testing to be successful.

Recognize & Assess

Recognise a PHEV/BEV and correctly assess its condition upon arrival at the facility.

De-energize

Able to de-energise and check that the vehicle is safe to work on

Identify and Test

Identify and test various HV components in order to determine if they might be re-useable

Use Tools

Identify, test and safely use various tools and equipment in relation to EV and PHEV vehicles

Store components

Correctly store components related to EV and PHEV vehicles

Course Costs

The course cost is $1400 per participant for the full 2 days of instruction, plus $100 for training materials and handouts.

In the lead-up to the coursework, we will work with you to ensure your team has the right tools and equipment. This way, once the training is complete, you can be confident that your team has everything needed to receive and process these vehicles effectively.
